Dick Fleming is an Executive Vice President in Avison Young's Nashville office. As an office building specialist who has represented landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers in over 15 million square feet of real estate transactions, Dick's success has been based on creative strategy development, negotiating skills and repositioning. Dick began his career in real estate with Cushman & Wakefield in 1974. After a successful decade in Atlanta, Dick opened an office for Cushman & Wakefield in Nashville before starting Fleming & Associates in 1987. The firm was chosen by BellSouth in 1990 for the acquisition of a headquarters site. He negotiated the purchase of the land for the current AT&T "Batman" building. That transaction led to his heading the Nashville office for Atlanta's Carter & Associates. After a 13-year tour as Nashville Manager for Carter & Associates, Dick rejoined Cushman & Wakefield | Cornerstone as a Principal prior to joining Avison Young in 2015. Dick completed the leasing agreement for The Pinnacle at Symphony Place with 92% occupancy and coordinated the sale of the property to Highwoods.
