International consulting firm to bring more than 200 jobs to downtown Atlanta

ATLANTA, Sept. 15, 2017 – Avison Young, the world’s fastest-growing commercial real estate services firm, today announced that it arranged a 10-year-plus lease of approximately 40,000 square feet for The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) at 100 Peachtree, formerly known as the Equitable building in Downtown Atlanta. Phil and Hilton Barry of Avison Young represented BCG in the transaction.

BCG, a global management consulting firm and a leading adviser on business strategy, is expected to immediately bring nearly 200 high-paying jobs to Atlanta in an effort to co-locate business support jobs into one central office.

After an extensive search of available office space in various Atlanta submarkets, BCG selected 100 Peachtree for its central location and access to a diverse and talented workforce. Future expansion plans could lead to more than 500 jobs being added over the next 10 years.

“Ideally located in the heart of downtown Atlanta, 100 Peachtree provides easy access to the convergence of Atlanta’s three major interstates and rapid transit system, making it easy to attract top talent,” said Phil Barry, Avison Young principal. “In addition, the office space offers the ability to create an open and bright workplace with great city views along with a host of amenities, including a conference center, fitness center and a variety of restaurants along Broad Street.”

Originally constructed in 1969, 100 Peachtree is a 622,084 square foot office building in Downtown Atlanta that is home to Georgia’s Own Credit Union, Koch Industries and CallRail. BCG is expected to spend nearly $9.0 million renovating two-floors in the building to create a business services center in support of their growing North America and global operations. Construction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2018.

Scott DeMyer and C. Deming Fish of Colliers International represented the landlord, Zeller Realty Group that was represented by Mark Vollbrecht and David R.B. Anderson, in the lease transaction.

The Avison Young Atlanta team is supported by a full-service office that includes sales, marketing, leasing, property management and research teams. The firm currently manages more than 20 million square feet of property across the Atlanta region.
