Charleston Retail Market Report (Q4 2020)28 Jan 2021
As is the case in most markets, the Charleston retail market has yet to fully recover from the blow of the pandemic. Vacant square foot (sf) total increased by upwards of 700,000 sf since the start of the year, climbing to an all-time high. Three buildings have delivered the most sf the market has seen all year, contributing to the vacancy rates growing by 3% since the first quarter. That being said, rents remain stable and under-construction projects remain strong.
