Awards recognize women whose leadership, achievements and mentorship roles have made significant impact in the industry

Chicago, IL – Global commercial real estate advisor Avison Young is pleased to announce that two of its U.S.-based professionals have been chosen as recipients of Connect Media’s Women in Real Estate Awards 2025.

Principal and Senior Director of Avison Young’s Retail Services group, Heather Almond, was selected for the Seattle and Northwest category, and Sally Zesut, Senior Vice President, Capital Markets Group was chosen for California.

The Women in Real Estate Awards are an annual recognition program run by Connect Media (through Connect CRE) that celebrates outstanding women in commercial real estate. The awards highlight women whose leadership, achievements and mentorship roles have made significant impact in the industry.

In the 2025 edition, the program covers a national level plus 10 regional markets: California, Texas, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, Florida/Gulf, Seattle, Phoenix, and Washington, D.C. Entries are chosen from hundreds of nominations/submissions, and winners are selected based on their accomplishments, influence, leadership, and mentorship.
