Avison Young under new market leadership in Phoenix, Arizona

Experienced commercial real estate expert, James DeCremer, assumes role as Market Leader with strategic growth objectives for business lines and top talent

Phoenix, AZ – Global Commercial Real Estate Advisor, Avison Young, today announces the appointment of James DeCremer as Market Leader for its Phoenix office. In his expanded leadership position, DeCremer will continue to be an active brokerage producer, specializing in retail property leasing, tenant representation, investment, acquisitions and dispositions across the region. He will also take on broader responsibilities focused on driving the strategic growth, operational leadership, and market positioning of the Phoenix office. This includes growing revenue across all brokerage service lines—tenant representation, agency leasing, and investment sales—as well as expanding non-brokerage services, including Project Management and Real Estate Management Services (REMS).

With more than 20 years in the commercial real estate industry, DeCremer has built a solid reputation of bringing an analytic, high-energy, service-oriented approach to his clients and their assets. He has served as a Principal since joining Avison Young in 2019 when the firm acquired retail brokerage company, Strategic Retail Group (SRG) of which DeCremer was Partner since 2007. DeCremer and his SRG team saw an opportunity to leverage a larger platform, deeper bench, and greater resources and has worked to realize that vision throughout the Phoenix region during his tenure at Avison Young.

DeCremer is responsible for proactively overseeing the project leasing and pad sales of multiple power centers, grocery-anchored shopping centers, mixed-use projects, and other retail properties throughout Arizona. He also oversees marketing more than 100 acres of exclusive land and pad listings in the region, in addition to strategically working with all types of retail and restaurant users on their site selection, expansion and repositioning objectives.
