Kennametal chooses primary location for distribution growth
Cleveland, OH – Avison Young today announced that it has negotiated a long-term lease of a 125,000 square-foot distribution warehouse at 18105 Parkway in Cleveland, OH.
Avison Young Managing Director Christopher Livingston and Vice President Jonathan Elson based in the firm’s Cleveland office along with Avison Young Managing Director Brad Totten based in the firm’s Pittsburgh office represented the tenant, Kennametal. The landlord was Chelm Properties, Inc.
“This is an ideal location for Kennametal on the Westside of Cleveland and very close to the airport which they rely on for incoming and outgoing products,” said Livingston. “Another top priority was keeping employees in place. To dismantle what’s already established would be very expensive,” added Elson.
Kennametal has an 83-year-old legacy as a supplier of tooling and industrial materials. The headquarters is located in Pittsburgh.
Kennametal has been in the Cleveland location for 22 years. Cleveland continues to have strong industrial demand with historical low vacancy rates.
