As Director, Brenda Dougherty is responsible for providing oversight of client service delivery and staff leadership for the Avison Young’s real estate management services across Texas. With over 25 years in the commercial real estate industry, Brenda is an experienced real estate professional with proven success overseeing multiple properties, operational programs and special projects, while consistently delivering results that exceed expectations.

Throughout her career, Brenda has managed numerous assignments for large institutional investment groups, regional investment fund groups and individual owners. Her assignments have included high rise class A office buildings, suburban office buildings and large retail portfolios in the Houston area. Brenda’s construction management experience includes all levels of tenant improvement and building improvement projects. During Hurricane Ike, she directed all restoration activities for an office property that had sustained approximately 60% destruction. Special project experience has included conversion of a large single tenant office building to multi-tenant occupancy.

In addition, Brenda’s experience includes management oversight of regional retail properties in Dallas, Texas and property management leadership of approximately 600,000 square feet of office and industrial properties in Austin, Texas.

A results and detail oriented professional, Brenda provides staff leadership to foster a cohesive team approach to management. She has achieved recognition for achieving the “Highest Ratings” in the Houston area on tenant satisfaction surveys.
