Colin Diefenbach joined Avison Young in 2019 and now leads as the Director of Real Estate Management Services for the Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. markets.

Colin has broad experience in building management, covering everything from construction and real estate finance to historic preservation and real estate strategy. After the 2008 financial crisis, he gained valuable insights into distressed properties while collaborating with lenders and special servicers to oversee troubled assets' management, improvement, and sale.

Colin's leadership and property management skills have been further shaped by his work with a range of clients, including institutions, REITs, and family trusts, where he's handled different types of real estate. Additionally, he takes on the role of an asset manager for select Avison Young clients who benefit from his expertise in devising asset strategies and managing business plans.
