Tom Aguer joined Avison Young in July, 2014 as Principal and Managing Director of the Sacramento office.
Tom’s past commercial real estate experience includes ten years with CBRE as a top producer, and partner positions with Brown Stevens Elmore and Sparre as well as seven years’ experience with KCS Development, during which time he acted as managing director in the construction and development of approximately one million square feet of award-winning class A office and retail commercial projects. In 1997 Tom joined with Matt Havelock to open Aguer Havelock Associates. For seventeen years, Aguer Havelock Associates maintained a reputation for the highest level of professionalism and business ethics in commercial real estate throughout Northern California.
For most of his professional career, Tom has also been active in community service organizations serving as a past director of the Rotary Club of Sacramento, founding director of the Sacramento Food Bank, past director of Junior Achievement of Sacramento, Big Brothers of Sacramento, past director of the Sacramento Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, and most recently director of the Sacramento Life Center. Tom has honorable discharges from both the United States Air Force and the United States Army. On weekends he can be found playing golf with his wife Diane.
