About Ben

Ben Burns specializes in office leasing and investment sales in Avison Young's Nashville office. Ben also works with property owners in securing electrical power entitlements through TVA and selling that property to data center companies and developers. Prior to joining Avison Young, Ben was with Cushman & Wakefield | Cornerstone working on office and healthcare-related properties. He has earned his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and served as President of the Middle Tennessee CCIM Chapter in 2018.

Before entering commercial real estate, Ben practiced law in Nashville for more than 20 years, 11 of which, he served as Senior Litigation Counsel for HCA, Inc. Since 1990, Ben has personally invested in several real estate transactions including office, retail, industrial, land and investment properties. In each of these investments, Ben was actively involved in the due diligence, closing, management, and leasing of these properties. The experience gained from his brokerage activities and hands-on dealings in real estate, coupled with his broad-based experience in law, uniquely qualifies Ben to be of service to his clients in leasing and selling office space and investment properties.
