About Clayton

Clayton Pristou joined Avison Young’s Capital Markets Debt and Equity team at Avison Young in January 2026. As a Vice President, Clayton focuses primarily on debt and equity placement for industrial, multifamily, office, retail, and hospitality properties. During his brokerage career, Clayton has closed over $400 million in financing. Representative clients include SPC Investors, Silver Point Development, and Fulton Peak Capital.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Clayton spent four years as a co-founder and principal of SPC Investors – a Colorado-based commercial real estate development and acquisitions firm. There, he spearheaded the firm’s acquisitions, leasing, asset management, and capital relations.

Clayton started his career at JLL in 2014 with the Washington, DC Real Estate Investment Banking Group. That team joined Avison Young in 2017, focusing on structured finance across all property types. Over the years, the team routinely averaged over $1 billion in transaction volume, including joint-venture equity, construction loans, senior (permanent) debt, bridge debt, mezzanine debt, preferred equity, recapitalization, and ground lease structuring.

Clayton attended Washington & Lee University, graduating in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with special attainments in Commerce.
