About Darrell

Darrell L. Betts, CCIM is a Principal with the Capital Markets group of Avison Young and oversees the representation for dispositions of investment properties owned by financial institutions, pension funds, REIT’s and private investors.

Recruited by Avison Young in 2010 to lead the company’s Capital Markets Group in Texas and Southwest U.S. Darrell began his commercial real estate career over 30 years ago and has been involved with over $12 billion worth of real estate transactions across all asset types with a specialization in energy and infrastructure.

Darrell has built a distinguished and award-winning career. He was ranked sixth among Avison Young's “Top Sales Professional” for 2018 and was named “Top Producer” in the U.S. for Capital Markets in 2011. He is also a multi-year recipient of Avison Young’s Circle of Excellence Award, which recognizes the firm’s top producers globally. The Houston Business Journal has consistently named him to the “Heavy Hitter: Investment Brokers” list.
