About Dawson

Dawson Smith is a Vice President in the Houston office of Avison Young, where he specializes in industrial leasing and sales throughout the Greater Houston area and across Texas. In addition, Dawson has developed meaningful expertise in land transactions, advising clients on acquisitions, dispositions, and development site strategy across a range of asset types. He also brings significant experience representing office tenants and advising on broader corporate real estate strategy. Dawson partners with clients to align their real estate decisions with business objectives through detailed market analysis, strategic site selection, economic evaluation, transaction management, and skilled negotiation. His comprehensive, solutions-oriented approach enables him to deliver measurable value and long-term strategic advantage for his clients.

Dawson is highly skilled at cultivating and maintaining client relationships, with a dedicated work-ethic that adds tremendous value to the team. Prior to joining Avison Young, Dawson was a Supply Chain Project Manager at Shell Oil Company supporting downstream operations. Dawson also brings valuable commercial real estate experience from his time with a Houston-based real estate development firm where he assisted with various tasks related to development, property management, and leasing.
