About Erik

Erik is an expert capital markets professional who delivers strategic advisory and execution services across Avison Young's global platform. With 27 years of industry experience and over $12 billion in completed transactions, in 30 states, and internationally, he has guided clients through complex assignments including single and multi-market asset dispositions, development equity raises, and the monetization of corporate owned facilities through sale-leasebacks. His deep client relationships count on him to counsel them on the full transaction lifecycle of real estate assets, from development capitalization and construction strategy through market positioning and disposition execution.

As Co-Leader of Industrial Capital Markets Group, Erik manages and leads a national team that is focused cutting-edge solutions to global clients, institutions, public companies and REITs, private equity firms, and privately held commercial real estate investors. He helps to set strategy for the Industrial Capital Markets Group and work alongside his Avison Young global collogues to deliver best-in-class services to clients.

Beyond his transaction leadership, Erik shapes the strategic direction of the firm as a member of Avison Young's Capital Markets Advisory Board, where he drives innovation, platform development, and industry best practices across the organization's capital markets capabilities. Additionally, Erik is frequently invited to speak at national and international real estate conferences, where he shares insights on market trends, transaction strategies, and the evolving industrial real estate landscape.
