About Hiren

Hiren Thakar serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Avison Young, where he is responsible for architecting and executing the firm’s global growth initiatives. A seasoned strategy and operations executive, Hiren brings extensive experience advising Boards of Directors, CEOs, and CFOs across both public and private sectors. Throughout his career, Hiren has developed and scaled strategies for organizations ranging from $100 million service firms to $30 billion global enterprises. He has directly executed more than $2 billion in capital market transactions—including IPOs, M&A, and debt restructuring—and has led over 50 acquisitions from initial identification through to successful transition. Under his leadership, his teams have recruited over 600 key professionals responsible for $500 million in revenue. An alumnus of Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and top-tier engineering programs, Hiren’s expertise spans M&A, financial analysis, and international operations. In addition to his role at Avison Young, he serves as an independent director for several organizations.
