About Kenda

Kenda Friend is a LEED Accredited Senior Project Manager for Avison Young in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her responsibilities include managing all facets of project management for real estate portfolios including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout. Ms. Friend has managed construction of several high profile and high-end projects.

Ms. Friend is a proven project manager with more than 35 years of experience in the real estate services industry. Ms. Friend has successfully managed and directed projects ranging from $10M lease renewals to $500 million design-build commercial office buildings.  Her professional experience includes corporate tenant improvements, retail, bank branch and cash vault construction, government projects, space planning, and relocation services.  Her outstanding organizational skills and her aptitude for locating problem areas and increasing operational efficiency have consistently resulted in the successful completion of various tenant and capital improvement projects. 

Prior to joining Avison Young , Ms. Friend was a Senior Project Manager at CBRE for 6 years, and previously held a position as a Senior Program Manager at GNU Group. She was responsible for planning, executing and evaluating projects to assess if requirements exceeded project resource capability. Prior to her former roles, Ms. Friend had also been with Richlen Construction (General Contractor) as a Project Manager for 10 years. While there she completed a wide variety of construction projects on behalf of her clients. Ms. Friend has also been in management positions with RPM, Inc. (Retail Project Managers), Colliers International and Union Bank of California.
