Manhattan job postings uptick, while share of remote jobs holds steady

• Since the onset of the pandemic in early 2020, the percentage of remote job postings relative to overall job postings saw consistent, steady increases – up to 20.6% in November 2022.

 

• However, since that time, the proportion of remote job postings has begun to decline, even as overall job postings have recently experienced a surge. This trend could continue with increasing Return to Office (RTO) mandates.

 

• In comparison to November 2022, overall job postings in Manhattan have grown by 45.8%, while the share of remote job postings has decreased by 9.7%.
