About Matthew

Matthew Seliger is a Principal and Managing Director for Avison Young’s Houston office, where he leads the market’s strategic growth initiatives and oversees the expansion of the firm’s brokerage, property management, project management, and valuation service lines. In this role, he focuses on driving business growth, enhancing client relationships, recruiting top industry talent, and fostering Avison Young’s collaborative, people-first culture.

A respected commercial real estate professional with extensive experience across agency leasing, tenant representation, strategic lease negotiations, and asset positioning, Matthew has built a reputation for delivering thoughtful solutions that help clients achieve their business objectives. Throughout his career, he has successfully developed property-specific marketing strategies, led capital improvement initiatives, and provided mentorship to emerging brokerage professionals.

Before joining Avison Young, Matthew served as Vice President at a national commercial real estate firm, where he was responsible for the leasing of institutional-quality office assets throughout the Houston market.
