About Michael

Michael Fasano is a Senior Vice President of Debt & Structured Finance at Avison Young, based in the firm’s Miami office. He specializes in debt and equity placement across Florida and the Tri-State area, with a focus on complex development projects and transitional assets requiring bespoke financing solutions. With over a decade of experience in both brokerage and direct lending, Michael has been involved in transactions totaling more than $2 billion in gross exposure.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Michael was an Assistant Vice President at People’s United Bank in Manhattan, where he underwrote, originated, and managed commercial real estate loans throughout the Tri-State region—primarily focused on value-add and construction financing.

Earlier in his career, Michael worked with Marcus & Millichap’s Miller-Gomes Hotel Team, advising hotel owners on recapitalization and disposition strategies for distressed assets during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Arizona State University, where he was also a member of the university’s men’s rugby team.
