About Nicole

Nicole White joined Avison Young in 2015 and serves as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary. She leads the firm’s global legal and compliance functions and advises the Executive Committee and Board of Directors on governance, enterprise risk, strategic growth initiatives and capital markets-facing matters.

Nicole is a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership, helping guide Avison Young through complex transactions, organizational evolution and periods of market transformation. Her leadership supports the firm’s long-term strategy, including scaling its data-driven, technology-enabled and consultative services platform to meet the evolving needs of clients worldwide.

She plays a central role in aligning legal strategy with enterprise priorities in dynamic market environments, and enabling growth while maintaining strong governance, operational discipline and a culture rooted in trust and integrity. 

Nicole is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Nicole served as corporate counsel for the Allstate Corporation. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from DePaul University College of Law and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
