About Patrick

Patrick Schmidt is a Principal & Managing Director of the East (New England/DC) and South Region for Avison Young’s Project and Construction Management group. Patrick has over 29 years of construction and project management experience. Prior to joining Avison Young, he served as a Senior Project Manager at STV|DPM where he managed the National Grid account. Patrick provided on site services at over 20 facilities to enhance National Grid’s capital improvement group. Before joining DPM, he was the President of Schmidt Development Group where he was directly responsible for construction, schedule, and budget for various at-risk projects in commercial, medical, retail, institutional, and residential markets. He performed successful design/build work and value engineering services. Prior to that, Patrick was a Construction Manager at Boston Properties. Patrick was responsible for ground up, tenant improvement and retail projects providing estimating, RFP development, design overview, permitting, special consultants, lease review, space programming and construction.
