About Tim

Tim Henry is a Principal of Avison Young’s national Retail Advisory Services Group.  Based out of Chicago, Tim assists Real Estate owners, Branded Manufacturers and retailers with site selection, dispositions, lease, and build-to-suit negotiation throughout the Midwest.  His current client list includes Chase Bank, AT&T, The Fresh Market, Jos A. Bank, UPS Stores, USPS and Starbucks among others.

In addition to representing national and regional retailers, Tim provides leasing and marketing expertise for developers and owners of shopping centers and office buildings.  He has a significant record of achievement in providing comprehensive real estate and consulting services to users and owners of real estate.

Henry also brings unique experience with Real Estate Technology, Consulting and eCommerce to Avison Young.  An expert in Lease Administration, Integrated Workplace Management systems and the 3 leading eCommerce platforms, Henry assists many of his client’s navigate an “Omni Channel” approach to modern retailing.

With a 25+ year career, Tim has held senior positions at a number of prominent real estate firms.  He was most recently with Staubach Retail Services as Senior Vice President and Market Leader in Chicago. In this role, Henry served as exclusive Leasing Agent for such diverse assets as Streets of Woodfield and the Ford City Mall while working with many retailers and commercial owners.

Tim is an Illinois licensed Real Estate Broker, a member of ICSC and ULI and a Commissioner of the City of Lake Forest Plan Commission.

Henry holds a BA from Denison University, Granville, OH. with a double Major in History and Economics.
