About Wendy

As Senior Vice President, Wendy brings more than 23 years of experience in the North Carolina commercial real estate market, with a primary focus on retail leasing and investment advisory. Formerly serving as Director of Commercial Leasing at Grubb Ventures, Wendy led and collaborated with a highly accomplished leasing and development team on several high-profile mixed-use projects, including Dock 1053, Raleigh Iron Works, Salvage Yard, Glenwood Place, and Veridea. In this role, she partnered closely with investors, institutional partners, and asset management teams to support tenant retention and strengthen long-term client relationships.

With over a decade of experience as a Broker-in-Charge, Wendy specializes in the Triangle, Triad, and Coastal regions of North Carolina. Her approach combines deep local market knowledge with a national retail perspective, allowing her to deliver strategic, results-driven solutions for retailers, landlords, and developers.

Prior to joining Grubb Ventures, Wendy founded Barrett Nabors Commercial in 2012 and served as its Chief Executive Officer. Throughout her career, Wendy has worked across all facets of commercial real estate, including brokerage, project marketing, research, tenant and landlord representation, leasing for retail, office, industrial, and mixed-use developments, as well as development consulting. She has also represented both buyers and sellers in numerous investment sales transactions.

Wendy has worked with a diverse client base ranging from local entrepreneurs to national retailers and franchise operators. She is known for developing customized leasing strategies that align the objectives of developers, landlords, and tenants alike.

Currently, Wendy is refocusing her efforts on her core passion—retail real estate—while continuing to collaborate with her established network of retailers, landlords, and developers across North Carolina.
