Wes Boatwright joined the Capital Markets Group as Principal of Avison Young in October 2017. Wes is responsible for creating and structuring debt and equity real estate capitalization solutions and selling assets on behalf of the firm’s investor and institutional clients. His expertise encompasses the full spectrum of real estate financial services with an emphasis in acquisition and development financing and Investment Sales. Mr. Boatwright has more than 20 years of real estate experience and during his career he has closed in excess of $12.5 billion of transactions. 

Prior to joining Avison Young, Wes spent 17 years at Jones Lang LaSalle in Washington, DC as a Managing Director where he focused on real estate investment banking of all property types. 

Mr. Boatwright began his career in 1993 at Walker & Dunlop in Bethesda, MD. Prior to being promoted to a Vice President, Mr. Boatwright served as both an Assistant Vice President and a Real Estate Analyst. 

Mr. Boatwright was an adjunct professor at Georgetown University in the Masters in Real Estate program from 2009 - 2013.
