November 19, 2020

Mobley joins supporting multiple Avison Young business lines, identifying opportunities to serve clients and their dynamic real estate needs

Boston, MA Tom Collins, Avison Young Principal and Managing Director of the firm’s New England Region, today announced that Phil Mobley has been named Avison Young’s Director of US Occupier Research.

Mobley brings 15 years of experience as a researcher, consultant, and innovator in the CRE industry. He specializes in providing analysis that helps the industry evolve to deliver high-value workplaces for tenants, a need that has only been accelerated by the current COVID-19 pandemic. In his role at Avison Young, he will shape and lead the approach to occupier research across the United States and analyze broad macro trends in occupiers’ businesses and the implications for commercial real estate.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the Avison Young team,” comments Mobley. “My work as a consultant and software provider has always been about helping CRE firms better understand and serve their occupier customers. Doing that now from within the industry I love is a step I’ve long had in mind, and there’s no better time. The challenges right now are real, but the opportunity is there to remake the way we use buildings, transforming them into places that acknowledge our humanity and accentuate our capabilities. I can’t wait.”

Prior to joining Avison Young, Mobley became an industry leader in measuring tenant satisfaction and created a software platform that enables tenant communication and intuitive self-service during his time at Kingsley Associates and Building Engines. He also founded Koine Communications, an independent consultancy producing articles, white papers, and other content for industry clients.
