Mark Richardson is the General Manager for the South Station Bus Terminal in Boston, MA. The client and building owner are the Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA), and the facility serves intercity bus travel throughout New England and New York and beyond. For the past 9 years, Avison Young has managed all aspects of the property, including operations, cleaning and security, procurement, leasing and accounting, and building engineering and maintenance. The facility is 312,000 square feet and includes 29 bus gates, serving approximately 8,000 people per day. There is a capital project underway, set to open in 2024, to add a new concourse to the bus terminal with 13 additional bus gates and an indoor connection to the South Station train station.

Mark has over 30 years of experience in transportation management in both the public and private sectors. He holds a BA in Government from Hamilton College and an MBA in finance from Columbia University Business School. Additionally, he is a licensed Realtor in Massachusetts and a member of the Boston area BOMA.
