Avison Young taps industry veteran Scott Carter to lead Texas healthcare real estate platform

Carter joins as Principal in the firm’s Houston office, bringing more than 20 years of healthcare and life sciences sector experience
Houston, TX — Global commercial real estate advisor, Avison Young, today announced that Scott Carter has joined the firm as Principal, where he will serve as the Healthcare and Life Sciences lead for Texas. Carter brings more than 20 years of experience dedicated exclusively to the healthcare and life sciences sectors, further strengthening the firm’s specialized advisory capabilities across the region.

Carter provides comprehensive commercial real estate advisory and transaction services for a broad range of clients, including hospital systems, physician groups, post-acute and behavioral health operators, and both public and private healthcare and life sciences investors. Prior to joining Avison Young, Carter served nearly a decade as Senior Vice President at CBRE where he focused on acquisitions, dispositions, tenant and landlord representation for medical office buildings across Texas.

Carter will work closely with Jay Johnson, Principal and Executive Managing Director of Avison Young’s Healthcare Services to drive healthcare strategy and drive market growth for the firm.
