Avison Young negotiates 4,490-sf lease on behalf of Hong Kong Development Trade Council in downtown Los Angeles

Los Angeles, CA – Avison Young has announced it has negotiated a 10-year, 4,490 square-foot (sf) office lease on behalf of Hong Kong Development Trade Council (HKTDC). The space, which will serve as the company’s Los Angeles regional office, is located at 515 S. Figueroa Street in downtown Los Angeles.

Sally Zesut, a Vice President, and Principal and Managing Director Jonathan Larsen, represented the tenant. The ownership, John Hancock Life Insurance Company (USA), was represented by Leasing Director Parker Jones and Leasing Manager Zack Torres of John Hancock Real Estate.

HKTDC was established in 1966 to promote, assist and develop Hong Kong's trade and has 50 offices globally, including 13 in Mainland China. HKTDC will relocate to its new space in November 2020 from its current location at the Los Angeles World Trade Centre at 350 S. Figueroa.

“Our client has been at its prior Class B location for 25 years,” said Zesut. “They liked 515 S. Figueroa and will be upgrading to a Class A office building with a long-term institutional landlord and a number of on-site and nearby amenities.”

515 S. Figueroa Street is a 21-story Class A, Energy Star-rated office building that features a renovated lobby, courtyard plaza, gym, daycare facility and planned dining area. The well-located asset provides immediate access to the 110 Harbor Freeway and is walking distance to retail shops, restaurants, and hotels.
