Avison Young negotiates 128,000-sf flex/industrial lease in Hawthorne, California
Los Angeles, Calif. – Avison Young announced today that it has negotiated an expansion and early renewal flex/industrial lease on behalf of ThinKom Solutions totaling over 128,000 square feet (sf) within Oceangate Business Park, a 383,000-sf property in Hawthorne, California. ThinKom Solutions committed to an additional 54,308-sf of flex/industrial space at 4910 Rosecrans Avenue in addition to its current space totaling more than 74,000-sf at 4881 W. 145th.
Avison Young Principal Mark Mattis represented ThinKom in the 10-year lease transaction.
ThinKom designs and manufactures high-performance satcom antennas for aviation, military, gateway, satellite, and terrestrial mobility markets. The privately held, 150+ employee company uses the space for its corporate headquarters, light manufacturing, assembly, and testing.
“If you use broadband on a commercial flight, there is a good chance that data is being received by one of ThinKom’s antennas mounted on the plane,” said Mattis. “ThinKom is expanding both its commercial and defense lines of business and therefore needed the additional space within the Hawthorne location.”
