PRESS RELEASE: Avison Young’s New York Project Management group announces promotions and new hire

New York, NY – Avison Young New York’s Project Management group has announced the following promotions and staff changes: 

·  Robb Davidson has been promoted to Director, Project Management. Davidson has served as a Senior Manager in the Project Management group since 2016. He began his career at Avison Young managing all projects at 211 East 43rd Street, which included the completion of over $16 million of interior construction and capital improvements over four years.  Davidson continues to work with the AY agency brokers who represent this building as new spaces are leased and built for tenants, as well as working on internal initiatives to help grow the New York project management business.

Most recently, Davidson has been overseeing project management work for LinkedIn, which awarded Avison Young two additional floors of work in addition to a full restack at Empire State Building totaling over 500,000 RSF, as well as an additional project for the company in the Washington D.C. market.

“We’re pleased to acknowledge Robb’s project management expertise and strong leadership by promoting him to Director,” said Kirsten Beck, Principal, who heads up the Project Management team for Avison Young New York.  “Since joining Avison Young, Robb has overseen numerous interior renovation and construction projects and continuously demonstrated a commitment to bringing innovative solutions to clients, which  has been vital to our growth in the New York City market.  He is an essential member of our growing team and the recent assignment with LinkedIn allowed Robb to direct a team independently as well as supervise work for an important global client. We congratulate Robb on this well-deserved promotion.”

·  Emely Grisanty has been named to a newly created position, Senior Project Manager - Technology Solutions, PjM Americas. Since joining Avison Young in 2019, Grisanty has helped the New York Project Management team improve their deliverables to clients by building a customized solution in SmartSheet – all while simultaneously managing client projects.

Grisanty’s efforts to automate project management services has resulted in Avison Young Project Management – AMERICAS adopting this technology platform across the US, Canada and Mexico and creating a new position for her.

·  Fredy Varughese has been promoted to Project Manager. Varughese joined Avison Young in August 2018 as an Assistant Project Manager and has worked on several high-profile projects, including LinkedIn, Compass and Comcast. Varughese is earning his Project Management Professional certification with a scheduled graduation in the Summer of 2021.

·  Poonam Sharma has joined Avison Young as a Project Manager New York. Sharma brings more than eight years of experience in the project management and construction industries. During her career, she has developed an expertise in estimating and cost management.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Sharma was a Project Manager for Knotel, where she acted as a key member of the project execution team managing the buildout process for their rollouts. Previously, she was the Assistant Project Manager for Icon Interiors, where she was responsible for the fit-outs of various interiors projects. Sharma earned her undergraduate degree in Architecture and Interior Design from Nagpur University in India and achieved her Master of Science in Construction Management from Stevens Institute of Technology.
