Avison Young promotes Brandon Polakoff to Principal and Executive Director of the Tri-State Investment Sales Group

New York – Mitti Liebersohn, President and Managing Director of Avison Young’s New York City office, announced today that Brandon Polakoff has been promoted to Principal and Executive Director of Tri-State Investment Sales. Polakoff has served as Senior Director in the Tri-State Investment Sales group for the last three years.

Polakoff, who joined Avison Young in 2018, specializes in the sale of multi-family and mixed-use assets and has consistently been one of the top producers for the firm's Tri-State Investment Sales group. His recent notable deals include a three-property assemblage at 190, 196 and 198 Prince Street for $31.5 million; 344-348 East 62nd Street for $35.5 million and 109 Avenue A for $20.75 million.

Polakoff spearheads the Manhattan investment sales team and works alongside James Nelson, Principal and Head of Tri-State Investment Sales. His current responsibilities include originating new business, evaluating properties for sale, as well as assisting, reviewing and executing deals.

Polakoff continues to be recognized for his achievements by both the industry and his peers. He was a finalist in the Real Estate Board of New York’s 2021 Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Award for navigating the sale of 198 Prince Street. Avison Young named Polakoff to its Circle of Excellence for top producers in 2020 and Crain’s named him one of New York’s Rising Stars in Real Estate for 2020. He has also been featured among Commercial Observer’s 30 Under 30 Top Leasing and Sales Professionals, Connect Media’s Next Generation Award, New York Real Estate Journal’s Ones to Watch and Real Estate Weekly’s Rising Star.

Additionally, Polakoff is frequently featured in top real estate publications and writes and publishes articles about current industry issues.

Prior to Avison Young, Polakoff was an Associate Director in the Investment Sales Group at Cushman & Wakefield in New York where he was involved in sales with an aggregate value of over $3 billion.
