Avison Young announces 47,000-sf industrial lease with DYWIDAG in Pottstown, PA

191 S Keim Street in Pottstown PA September 18, 2025

Philadelphia, PA – Global real estate advisory firm, Avison Young, is pleased to announce it has negotiated a 47,000-square-foot (sf), long-term industrial lease on behalf of the tenant DYWIDAG, a global leader in structural and geotechnical engineering solutions. The site is located at 191 S Keim Street in Pottstown, PA, within the Pottstown Industrial Complex and a submarket of the 422 Corridor.

“This new Pottstown facility represents an exciting next chapter for DYWIDAG in the Northeast,” said Mike Kelley, President, Americas, DYWIDAG. “By more than doubling our space, we’re not only expanding our production capacity but also strengthening our ability to serve customers with faster delivery, improved logistics, and enhanced operational efficiency. The location’s historic connection to steel manufacturing makes it a fitting home for our continued growth and innovation.”

Avison Young Senior Associate Cathy Swanson, Associate Jack Owens, and Associate Director, Project Management John Colvin, represented the tenant. The landlord, Industrial Investments, was self-represented. Colvin is heading the completion of the tenant improvements for the new facility which is anticipated to open this month. Specializing in the production of THREADBAR® systems, the new facility enhances the company’s ability to meet growing demand for engineering products and solutions across the U.S. market.

“This new space is a relocation and upgrade from DYWIDAG’s former 25,000-sf facility in Toughkenamon,” said Owens. “The space provides for DYWIDAG’s overall growth and success including access to rail -- cutting shipping costs significantly, and with Pottstown’s centralized location to major Northeast metropolitan areas such as New York, Baltimore, Washington DC, and Philadelphia, reducing client lead times.”

DYWIDAG manufactures steel products used in bridges and structures. The Pottstown Industrial Complex was previously home to Bethlehem Steel making the complex a natural fit. DYWIDAG’s proprietary infrastructure technology can be found in iconic structures across the country such as Apple's HQ and the World Trade Center.

“Our Avison Young team is proud to partner with DYWIDAG on its recent U.S. Operations expansion,” added Swanson. “The seamless tie-in of our project management capabilities enabled us to provide a turnkey solution for our client.  We are honored to be a part of this expansion and enjoyed working closely with the DYWIDAG team.”
