As Vice President on the Capital Markets team, Blake specializes in the marketing, disposition and acquisition of investment properties, handling all aspects of buyer and seller representation. Blake’s range of experience over the last 12 years in commercial real estate includes sales and leasing brokerage, development, financing, construction and engineering. His focus includes office, medical office, and retail properties and 1031 exchange transactions. Over his career, he has represented a variety of clients, including REITs, private equity funds, local developers, family offices and high net-worth individuals. Since joining Avison Young in March of 2015, he has completed over $100m of investment sales transactions.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Blake was with Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in their Los Angeles office. While at JLL, his team’s practice included landlord and tenant representation, as well as investment and land sales. During this time he represented nearly 4 million square feet of office, adaptive reuse, urban infill and entertainment projects, and was involved in more than $50 million in sales transactions.

Blake earned his MBA at UCLA Anderson School of Management, and his BS in Engineering Management and MS in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University. He has his Professional Engineering License and has completed over $100 million in low- and mid-rise office developments in South Florida. In addition, Blake is a licensed North Carolina Real Estate Broker and an active member of Urban Land Institue (ULI) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
