As the market leader for North Carolina, Virginia oversees the delivery of Real Estate Management Services in the state, which includes two of the fastest growing markets in the U.S. Virginia has been actively dedicated to the commercial real estate industry since 1989, and a part of Avison Young’s team for 21 years. She currently directly manages the commercial entities of the tallest, Class A multi-use building in downtown Durham. Virginia’s portfolio consists of key office, retail and industrial properties across the state. She brings an in-depth knowledge of each portfolio, along with scope of expertise, allowing her to effectively mentor property managers in all aspects of property management.

Previous experience includes management, marketing, the development and redevelopment of regional malls; the marketing and management of upscale lifestyle centers, including Bell Tower Shops in Florida and Mt. Pleasant Towne Center in South Carolina. She successfully managed the high-profile Sun Life portfolio in the Triangle for 20 years and has worked alongside prestigious clients such as Armada Hoffler and Hartz. Virginia has been the Director of Marketing for 32 community centers to date.

Virginia is active with the Alzheimer’s Association and Leukemia Lymphoma Society, serving as a team captain for the Alzheimer’s Association’s annual Memory Walk. She has served on the board for Animal Kind since 2014. Virginia is married and lives in Raleigh with her husband. Her passions include promoting the welfare of animals, gardening and walking.
