Jay Marshall brings more than 30 years of multi-asset class experience to the firm’s Fairfield/Westchester market

Norwalk, CT – Avison Young Principal & Managing Director Sean M. Cahill announced today the strategic hiring of Jay Marshall as Principal, specializing in the origination of debt, equity and structured finance investments on behalf of clients in markets including Fairfield, CT and Westchester, NY counties and nationally.

Marshall has been active in all asset classes and over the last decade has had a primary focus on ground-up and value-add multi-family and industrial sectors. He has completed in excess of $8 billion in commercial real estate transactions, during the span of his nearly 35-year career, including leadership roles in commercial real estate firms in Connecticut and New York. He is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Real Estate Finance Association and NAIOP.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Marshall most recently served as Executive Vice President at Goedecke & Co. where he was responsible for origination of debt, equity and structured finance investments for clients throughout southern New England and Metro New York and around the country. The majority of his career was spent with HFF (now known as JLL), more than 25 years and attaining the role of Senior Managing Director. He began his career in 1988 with Harold D. Baker & Company in New York City. Marshall earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.
