Inland Empire industrial sublet space is on the rise

Volumes at the ports have slowed down and inventories are normalizing to pre-pandemic levels, which is creating a surplus of space for some tenants, creating an increase in sublet space. Currently, there are just over 8.5 million square feet of sublet space available compared to 3.2 million square feet that were available at the end of 2019 and the pre-pandemic amount of 1.7 million square feet.
