David Shott supervises maintenance for Avison Young’s management portfolio in the Austin area. Mr. Shott came to Avison Young in 2017. He has worked in the industry for over 20 years, and has extensive knowledge of building controls systems, including design, installation and programming energy management
systems. Mr. Shott has a wide-range of experience maintaining hi-rise and large building complexes. As an Austin native, David has a personal knowledge of Central Texas’ unique climate, resources, and building conditions.
Mr. Shott has maintained a wide variety of properties including, Class A Office, Hi Rise, campuses, Medical Office, Industrial, Retail and Warehouse. Mr. Shott has also been responsible for starting up new facilities and newly repositioned properties. These properties include properties that are LEED certified, as well as, Austin Green Buildings. David’s back ground in controls and knowledge of building operations has allowed David to fine tune the operations of properties typically resulting reduction in utility costs and increased tenant comfort. In addition, he understands the unique needs of smaller and older office buildings, including those with historic status.
