Dallas-Fort Worth, TX – Today Avison Young released its Fourth Quarter 2022 Industrial Market Report for Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW).
DFW’s economy continues to gain strength. Jobs have expanded consistently, as total employment continues to hit new peaks. Overall, jobs are up 9.1% from the late 2019 watermark. In comparison, industrial jobs have risen 129,400, translating into 9.7% growth, with wholesale trade and transportation and warehousing being the drivers.
“Exceedingly strong demand has fueled DFW’s industrial sector, with vacancy near historic lows and absorption at all-time highs,” said Avison Young Senior Insight Analyst, Walter Bialas.
Dallas’ major industrial metrics are the best they’ve been in years. “It is this strong demand and affordability that has been pushing this development pipeline to new highs as the region advances its position as a key U.S. logistics hub,” noted Greg Langston, Principal and Managing Director for Avison Young’s Dallas office.
The development pipeline currently totals 87 million square feet across the region.
