Michael Morgan joined Avison Young’s Memphis office as Executive Vice President in April 2022. In addition to his work in brokerage, specializing in capital markets and occupier services, he joins the senior management team with a focus on developing long-term strategies for growth and maximizing the company’s operating performance.

With a career in the commercial real estate industry spanning eighteen years, Morgan brings a breadth of experience to his new role at Avison Young. He previously served as Senior Vice President of Leasing and Asset Management at Hertz Investment Group, where he was responsible for the leasing, management, and operations of a Class A office portfolio comprised of twenty-eight assets totaling nine million square feet across the Midsouth, Midwest, Mid-Atlantic and Texas. He was also employed for eleven years as a broker specializing in tenant advisory and global corporate services at CBRE, Inc. During his tenure at CBRE, he successfully negotiated new leases, renewals, expansions, contractions, and sublease dispositions totaling well over seven million square feet across the United States and Canada.

Morgan is a graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Affairs and Crisis Management. More recently, he completed the New Memphis Institute Fellows Program for Emerging Leaders in 2013. He is an active participant in multiple philanthropic and leadership organizations around the Greater Memphis area.
