Avison Young negotiates new 10,512-sf office lease on behalf of MediaTek USA in Irvine, CA

Irvine, CA – Avison Young announced today it has negotiated a five-year, 10,512 square-foot office lease on behalf of the tenant, MediaTek USA. The space is located at 1 Ada Street Building 4 in Irvine, CA.

Avison Young Principal Keith Kropfl along with Michael Ganz and Jack Livingston, represented MediaTek USA, the world’s fourth largest global fabless semiconductor company that powers more than 1.5 billion devices a year including smart TVs, phones and tablets. The landlord, The Irvine Company, was self-represented.

“With an exhaustive search in the immediate area and multiple negotiations on several properties, we identified 1 Ada as an ideal fit location-wise for its employees. It also provided a desirable layout, above-standard finishes and creative office features,” said Kropfl.

Kropfl added, “Despite COVID-19, MediaTek continues to thrive and has been experiencing year-over-year growth, hence the need for a larger space. The company will be relocating approximately 40 employees from 7,000 sf at 96 Corporate Park in Irvine to accommodate new engineer hires.”

Built in 1998, the two-story, 43,920-sf multi-tenant office property is located within Lakeview Business Center and is in the Irvine Spectrum submarket.  The property is near the 405 and 5 freeways, Irvine Spectrum, and the Irvine Transportation Center which provides daily Amtrak and Metrolink service.
