Avison Young announces new Palo Alto office to serve greater Silicon Valley

Avison Young announces new Palo Alto office to serve greater Silicon Valley June 11, 2024

Built in 1928, the historic building is owned by Pacific Art League, which occupies the ground floor. Over the next several quarters Avison Young plans on adding more talent to its Palo Alto location, building upon the energy of the property and the city center renown for being the birthplace of Silicon Valley and home to top technology leaders.

To support employee optionality for various work requirements, the office features a hybrid office design that enables its professionals to utilize space as a destination for specific or multiple uses as opposed to a static desk and workspace. Several group areas allow the collaborative sharing of content and ideas.

“Our new Palo Alto office is in Silicon Valley’s epicenter, and we are pleased to bring together 22 professionals from two previous area offices. We believe this move will generate stronger collaboration between our teams as we expand our presence throughout the region. Ultimately, we see this as a winning solution that will not only benefit our corporate workplace, but will also create synergies for our clients as we seek to optimally serve all of their commercial real estate needs,” said Chris Cooper, Avison Young Principal & Regional Managing Director, Western U.S.

Avison Young’s Palo Alto professionals provide a depth of expertise in leasing and sales brokerage, capital markets, property management, project management, and consulting services for a diverse set of industries.

“While the current economic environment has been challenging, Avison Young is bullish on Silicon Valley as it presents new opportunities for corporate expansions and growth,” added Jeff Fredericks, Avison Young Regional Manager of Brokerage Operations who is based out of the new office. “We are looking forward to establishing and growing deep roots in the Palo Alto community as it offers unique networking opportunities, a supportive ecosystem for innovation and growth, and proximity to major tech companies and venture capital firms.”

The office is located just one-half mile from Stanford University, 33 miles from San Francisco, and is 20 miles to San Francisco International Airport and 16 miles to San Jose Norm Mineta International Airport. Palo Alto is a global leader in technological development and has been the headquarters or founding location of many tech companies, including Apple, Google, Facebook, and Tesla.
