Mike Wilson is a Principal in the Chicago office of Avison Young. Mike focuses on Capital Markets Advisory for property owners throughout North America.  Mike has represented both institutional and private equity clients in investment property sales, as well as working with corporate and user clients in sale-leaseback transactions totaling over $3Billion.  Mike helps lead the Capital Market practices with focuses on both Healthcare Real Estate and Industrial Properties.  Mike’s client list includes some of the most well- known owners, developers, and institutions as well as physician groups and health systems.  Prior to working with Avison Young, Mike helped to initiate the Capital Markets Group of Grubb & Ellis and before that was a top producer at another national investment brokerage firm. 

Having advised institutional clients on many significant transactions, Mike has won the Greater Chicago Food Depository Real Estate Investment Broker of the Year Award.  Mike has been a winner and finalist multiple years for NAIOP Chicago Investment Deal of the Year as well as NAIOP Investment Awards in other US markets. He has been named a “Top Influencer” in both Industrial and Healthcare by Realshare as well as US Capital Markets “35 under 35” by Real Estate Forum Magazine. Mike has been a speaker on numerous healthcare and industrial real estate panels and a media source for multiple industry publications.

Mike attended Indiana University and earned a bachelor degree in Finance from the Kelly School of Business.  During his tenure at Indiana, Mike was a member of the Indiana Hoosiers football team where he was selected to the Academic All Big-Ten Team.  He is active in NAIOP, ULI, and the Chicago Real Estate Council.
