Rachel Shier is a Portfolio Manager in Avison Young’s Asset Services Group based in New York.  She is responsible for business development as well as oversight of the group’s existing portfolio and client relationships.

Shier joined the Asset Services team at Avison Young in 2016, bringing with her over seven years of real estate industry experience. Prior to joining Avison Young, Shier worked at CompassRock Real Estate where she was a member of the management team overseeing the entire commercial and multifamily portfolio across the United States, including Peter Cooper Village Stuyvesant Town, the largest multi-family residential rental asset in the country.

During her time at CompassRock, Shier was elevated several times, taking on progressively more senior roles within the organization. She began in the Operations/Public Safety Department, advancing her career to a role in the Legal Department and ultimately taking on a key role at a national-level in the National Programs and Procurement Department where her core responsibilities included transitioning properties in and out of the portfolio along with national contract administration and procurement efforts.
