Avison Young brokers sale of 40,000-sf industrial space on 6.2 acres in Houston

Greensheet’s former printing complex to be transformed into self-storage facility

Houston, TX – Avison Young, the world’s fastest-growing commercial real estate services firm, announced today that it has negotiated the sale of 40,000 square feet (sf) of industrial space on 6.2. acres at 1690 North Loop West in Houston.

Avison Young Principals Todd Mason and Jeff Lindenberger along with Richard Mason and Taylor Wilson, Senior Associates in the firm’s Houston office, represented the seller, Helen Gordon Interests, LTD, founder of the Greensheet. The buyer was GSD North Loop 610, LLC (Greenspace Holdings). The purchase price was not disclosed.

“This area is rapidly redeveloping, and it is exciting to see the continuing revitalization of the Houston Heights community,” comments Richard Mason.

“The properties in this area have a rich history,” adds Wilson. “This space was the printing complex for the Greensheet for 20 years and it is adjacent to the nearly 80-year-old Houston Farmers Market. The renovations that are underway in this area will have a positive impact on the community for generations to come.”

Greenspace has plans to erect a self-storage facility on a portion of the property.
