Joining the Avison Young Team in 2011, Mike Shuler consistently ranks as one of the leading top producers for leasing and sales transactions in the country, with combined sales and leasing activity nearing $12.5 billion. In 2018 he was a top 10 producer in the company globally. Mike’s responsibilities include developing leasing strategies and structures, securing tenants, and leveraging the resources of the firm to achieve best-in-class execution for Avison Young clients. He serves on the firm’s Landlord Infinity Group and is actively involved in mentoring Avison Young’s “Young Guns” program.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Mike founded Millennium Realty Advisors, a boutique commercial real estate brokerage firm in Northern Virginia, which was acquired by Avison Young in 2011. At Millennium, Mike worked with large national institutional ownerships that foreclosed on real estate and relied on his expertise to guide assets through a successful repositioning. It is these contacts that he utilized to negotiate joint venture partnerships between local developers and larger equity sources to develop new speculative development. Mike has negotiated nearly 3.5 msf of ground up speculative joint ventures and over 20 ground up preleases in his career.
