Nicola Mills has more than 10 years of experience working on large scale commercial and residential construction projects in various capacities, garnering extensive experience in project administrative and field operations.She has worked in Project Administration with a focus on cost engineering, preparing GC’s payment applications, processing subcontractor applications and change management.Prior to joining Avison Young, Nicola worked as a Quality Assurance Superintendent with Coastal Construction for three years, conducting quality control inspections on various product types including luxury condominiums, student housing, hotels and commercial office ground-up construction. This required detailed knowledge of the project plans and contracts which were reviewed to ensure clarity on deliverables and quality requirements and constantly cross-checked against work put in place in the field.

Since joining Avison Young, Nicola has worked with the Project Management team both as a tenant representative and as a landlord representative managing multiple commercial and industrial interior build-out projects from lease execution to close-out and move-in. She has also project managed and had direct responsibility for industrial ground-up construction projects including entitlement, due diligence, site plan changes, budget tracking and cost management.
