While office is a sector very much under the microscope, multifamily faces its own set of challenges as it relates to near-term debt maturities.  In a rising interest rate environment, refinancing these loans will come at a major cost to landlords, who in many cases, locked in near-zero rates over the past economic cycle. This will result in increased transactional activity over the coming months, as landlords will be forced to either refinance their assets or sell their assets to pay off debts. The question remains, who are the buyers?
