Sublet spaces in the DC Metro area

Since Q1 2020, there has been a spike of available sublet space within the DC Metro area, with Q1 2023 seeing over 11MM sf of space on the market. However since then, there has been a 12.2% decrease in available sublet space, partially due to the decreased amount of sublet space in class A buildings. Overall, Class B assets have the most amount of sublet space, with nearly 5.4MM sf available across Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Suburban Maryland.
